Veith - 7745: Appeal to the Protestant Brethren (DVD)
Walter Veith2017 marks the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. A lot has changed in the past five centuries, and Protestantism is not as it were. The pope’s popularity has soared with Pope Francis. Many people see him as a beacon of unity and progress. Lutherans recently signed a document that outlines their cooperation and joining with Catholicism. Things seem to be going well from an outsider’s perspective. But we need to investigate this matter Biblically. Are we following the same doctrines of the Bible or are we following man’s word? What happened to Sola Scriptura? It seems there is greater emphasis placed on faith through works than ever before. Have we completely compromised and forgotten what it means to be followers of Christ?
Do not seek unity and compromise. Do not seek unity with Rome. In this presentation with professor Walter Veith we will critique the joint declaration of Lutherans and Catholics, review some current events including what Trump’s leadership may mean in the light of prophecy, and see how far we’ve come in the last 500 years. If we are to call ourselves Protestants, then we must protest what is happening on the world’s stage. The King James Bible, based on the Textus Receptus, is the most reliable version of the Bible and sadly many Bible versions have been altered through time. This sermon encourages us to come back to the original Bible, back to original Protestantism. We must not be fooled by what we see and hear. Filmed live in Smoky Lake, Alberta.
