The apostle Peter talks much about faith in the Bible, while James speaks much on works. In this message, we explore one of John’s favorite subjects--abiding. John 15 says, “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can you, except you abide in me. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” Faith and abiding are not contradicting--they actually fit together. If we do not abide we shall be separated from Jesus, but if we abide we shall bear fruit. Pray without ceasing; abide moment-by-moment by the grace of God and not by your own strength
